Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (R, Drama, Spy) A-

Set during the early 1970’s George Smiley (Gary Oldman) has retired from the English spy agency MI6.  When it becomes apparent that a Soviet spy or mole exists in MI6 Mr. Smiley is called back into service to find the mole.  What follows is a fascinating web of details between various high level agents.  The only drawback this film had is that it kept switching between an older and current timeline more than necessary.  I can’t explain further without giving a major spoiler or clue.  The acting and screenplay were superb though.
