The Thing (2011) (R, Terror, Sci-Fi) B+

A group of scientists in Antarctica uncover an alien spaceship and a frozen creature.  They decide to bring it into their camp to examine it.  They assume the creature or alien is dead so they leave it in a block of ice that is slowly melting.  It soon frees itself and starts attacking the scientists.  This was one of the worst looking monsters I’ve ever seen in a movie, and what it does to people was quite gross too.  The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.  It would have been better if we got to learn more background on the alien.  It acts like a wild animal but the fact that it built an advanced space ship would mean it has some type of advanced intelligence.
