There Be Dragons (PG-13,
Drama) C
This film sets a partly fictional story around
the real life father Josemaria Escriva. In the film father Escriva and an
early childhood friend find themselves on opposite sides of the Spanish
Civil War. The film depicts how they survive the conflict. It was interesting
to see the politics behind the Spanish Civil War but it would have been
better if the film concentrated more on the father’s life and eliminated
the fictional aspects of the story. The acting in this film wasn’t
very good; most of the characters always have the same tone in their voice
despite going through some difficult situations that would create some emotions.
