Taking Woodstock (Comedy,
Drama) C+
Based on the true story of Elliot Tiber, who helped
manage a run down hotel his parents owned. When faced with the prospect
of loosing their property and business Elliot contacted the organizers of
Woodstock who then came to his hotel and town to have the festival. The
movie had some funny moments and it was interesting to see how the festival
came about being organized. Unfortunately it felts as if too many characters
were given an equally important role in the movie. The film had a lot of
potential but it feels sluggish a few times instead of moving the story
along or exploring some other aspects that would have been more entertaining.
