This the true story between Nathaniel Ayers (Jamie Foxx) and Steve Lopez (Robert Downey Jr.). Steve is a reporter at a major newspaper looking for an interesting story. After Steve meets Nathaniel he soon finds out that there is more to him than a violin playing homeless man. Steve sets out to help Nathaniel and make a difference in his life.
