Smother (PG-13, Drama) C-

Just after Noah (Dax Shepard) looses his job his Mom (Diane Keaton) decides to move into his house. At the same time he is having problems with his wife (Liv Tyler), and already has an unwelcomed house guest. For most of the movie all the characters only seem to interact with Noah or through him and not with each other which makes the movie feel drawn out, Diane Keaton’s character was supposed to play the part of “smothering” Noah too much but most of the time she seems more concerned with her own personal problems. The additional house guest didn’t contribute too much to the film either instead he detracted from the overall story.
