Sherlock Holmes (PG-13, Action, Mystery) C-

Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and his friend Dr. Watson (Jude Law) have just finished capturing a serial killer that practiced some type of sorcery. When it appears he has escaped his sentence they have to search for him once more and stop his plans. This film was very disappointing, most of it is boring. There are some good fight scenes but they’re drawn out since Sherlock Holmes first gives us a slow motion plan of how he’s going to fight his opponent, then we see the scene at full speed. It would have been better to just see the fight scene once. Half the movie felt like it was just about showing how great Sherlock Holmes is and it was too much about sorcery which is not something I was expecting in this type of film. At the end the movie sort of redeems itself but it’s too little and too late. The interaction between Holmes and Watson was very good though.
