The Secret Life of Bees (PG-13,
Drama) B
Set in South Carolina in the 1960’s a 14
year old girl (Dakota Fanning) runs away from her abusive father’s
home with a an older woman. They find a new home with a honey maker (Queen
Latifah) and her two sisters. Once at their new home they just seem to be
there to remain in hiding without a clear plan on what they will do, this
made the movie feel a bit drawn out even though the freindship between all
of them develops very nicely.
