Piranha 3D (R, Horror) B+

Due to an earthquake groups of ancient piranha get released into a big lake. At the same time thousands of college kids are vacationing there for spring break which leads to a film with some very gory scenes. There aren’t many plot surprises to give away but the story still keeps you entertained. Unlike most 3D films this one had a decent amount of 3D effects where it actually feels like something comes out of the screen right at you. Some scenes that don’t involve the piranha might be too graphic for young children.
