One Day (PG-13, Drama) C+

Emma (Anne Hathaway) has known Dexter (Jim Sturgess) since college.  They form a friendship that at times one of them wants to be something more.  The movie gives us an insight on where they stand by looking at their lives on July 15th for many years.  If you saw the trailer for this movie it basically tells you the whole story.  If you didn’t see the trailer it might feel a bit drawn out and lacking direction.  On the other hand may times in life people don’t feel like they have direction so this turns out to be the film’s best attribute (assuming you didn’t see the spoiler trailer).  The chemistry between the actors didn’t show too well on the screen though.
