Moneyball (PG-13, Drama, Sports) A-
Brad Pitt portrays Billy Beane, the General Manager for a baseball team that did not have the budget to compete with other teams. When he realizes he can’t hire the top paid players he begins to work with Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) to use statistical analysis to find players who are good but are underpaid. His new system shakes up the world of baseball. The film felt a bit long with a lot of player statistics and transfers carried out but it proves to be an excellent story and Brad Pitt delivers an excellent performance.
