Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (PG,
Comedy, Drama) B+
Frances McDormand plays the part of Miss Pettigrew,
a woman who has been fired from her job and is also homeless. With a little
deception she manages to secure a job with an aspiring actress (Amy Adams)
even though it’s not the job she was expecting. It was fun to see
Miss Pettigrew dive into a world she’s never been exposed to; she
brings a voice of reason to their world. The film does an excellent job
of portraying London in the year 1939.
