Machete (R, Action) C+

Machete (Danny Trejo) used to be a federal agent in Mexico. He unwittingly becomes part of a plot involving a local Senator and a number of criminals. He also gets help from two beautiful women which seems to be one too many as far as the story is concerned. The action scenes are so exaggerated that they’re fun to watch, but the story runs out of steam near the end of the movie. The film tries to address this by indicating why the story might still go on but it wasn’t too convincing.
