The Kids Are All Right (R, Drama) B+

Joni is an 18 year old girl who has never met her father since she was raised by two moms. She and her younger brother were artificially inseminated. Joni then decides to contact her biological father (Mark Ruffalo) which brings some changes to their family life. Nic (Annette Bening) seems to be a bit more apprehensive about accepting him while Jules (Julianne Moore) is more willing to do so. All the acting and chemistry between the characters in this film was excellent. Unfortunately it falls short on fully developing all of the characters or providing a better insight into their lives.
