Kick-Ass (R, Action) A-

This movie is based on the comic book about David Lizewski, a teenager who has a big interest in comic books. Just as the comic book characters he loves, he decides to get a costume and fight crime. He doesn’t have any special powers or the most basic training so his results are less than stellar and he ends up getting hurt. In the process he meets some other people who had the same idea but they’re actually good at what they do. The action scenes in this movie were amazing, especially considering who it is that is carrying them out. This film has the perfect balance of comedy, action and realism.
