Jumping the Broom (PG-13,

Sabrina Watson (Paula Patton) meets Jason Taylor
when she runs him over with her car. She soon decides this is the man of
her dreams and decides to marry him. The problem is she hasn’t met
her future mother in law (Loretta Devine) who turns out to be very possessive
of her son. Ms. Watson (Angela Bassett) and Ms. Taylor have nothing in common
as far as their background is concerned and are practically fighting with
each other the moment they meet. There was an added plot line involving
a chef that the movie could have done without; it made it loose a little
of the steam it had.
