It’s Kind of a Funny Story (PG-13,
Drama) B+
A very depressed 16 year old is thinking of committing
suicide. Instead he decides to visit a hospital were he insists they help
him out even though the Doctor is reluctant to do so. He is eventually admitted
into the mental ward were to his surprise he doesn’t have the option
to check out. There were a lot of interesting characters in the mental ward
which also had their own interesting story, and unlike most mental ward
movies this one didn’t exaggerate their mental illnesses thereby making
it more convincing.
