The Iron Lady (PG-13, Drama, Biopic) B-
When I saw the trailer for this biopic on Margaret Thatcher I thought I would get an excellent film that went in depth into the most defining moments of her life and her time as Prime Minster of Great Britain. Instead what we get is an in depth view of her bout with old age where she is living alone with a small staff of people. About half or more of the film is about seeing Lady Thatcher talking to her deceased Husband who she hallucinates to be there. The other half (or less) of the time we get little snippets of her life. This film would have been much better if they just showed the very old retired Thatcher for 10 minutes or so. This film was a major disappointment. Meryl Streep is excellent in her portrayal though.
