Footloose (2011) (PG-13, Drama) B+

Ren (Kenny Wormald) moves to a small town in Georgia to live with his aunt and uncle.  He is soon surprised to find out that dancing in the town has been banned.  As he is settling in he meets the preacher’s daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough).  The Reverend (Dennis Quaid) isn’t happy about Ren’s new influence.   Dancing was banned in the town after a group of teenagers died in a car crash after they attended a dance.  The film had it’s emotional moments and great scene between Julianne Hough and Dennis Quaid.  I was expecting to see more dancing though and it felt as if some scenes that tied the movie together were cut out.
