The Day the Earth Stood Still (PG-13,
Sci-Fi, Drama, Action) C
An alien named Klaatu (Keanu Reeves) has come to
Earth to deliver a message to the world. The pacing in the film was very
slow and Keanu Reeves portrayal was too detached, especially during moments
when the character had an opportunity to show some emotion, it’s true
he may be an alien and have little emotion but some small change would have
made his reactions far more believable. The film also depends too much on
special effects instead of developing the story. They should have copied
the screen play from the original film and just update the special effects.
