Set in the future just about every person has become a vampire due to a plague. The few people that remain human are hooked up in a type of suspended animation so that their blood can be collected to feed the vampire population. A hematologist (Ethan Hawke) races to find a substitute to the human blood since there isn’t enough for all the vampires. This is one of the most original vampire themed stories Hollywood has ever released.
