Country Strong (PG-13, Drama) B+

Kelly Canter (Gwyneth Paltrow) is a Country superstar who is an alcoholic. Her husband, James (Tim McGraw) decides to take her out of rehab a month early in order to restart her career. The movie also focuses on two singers who open the show for Kelly and it turns out they play a major role in the plot of the movie. The movie would have been more interesting if it focused more exclusively on Kelly and James. The music was good though, but we don’t get to see Tim McGraw sing since his character is just a manager.
