Contagion (PG-13, Drama) F+

A highly contagious and lethal virus has developed that is rapidly killing people all over the world.  From watching the movie it feels as if it is moving very slowly since we are shown an excessive number of single cases.  At one point it felt like it was just a movie about seeing people getting infected and dying.  It eventually progresses on but at a very slow pace.  It then has an added story line about a blogger exposing a conspiracy involving evil drug companies.  It also reminds us one time too many that the CDC did a poor job with the SARS virus.  Instead of being entertained it felt like the director just wanted to get his messages across.  Gwyneth Paltrow had one of the best acted out dying scenes ever though.  I would suggest you go out and rent “Outbreak” instead of watching this film.
