Colombiana (PG-13, Drama, Action) C

A young girl in Colombia witnesses her parents being murdered by a local drug lord.  At her young age she decides to avenge her parents death and return to kill the drug lord.  The movie then switches to a grown woman (Zoe Saldana) who has become a professional killer.  The movie also takes place from the point of view of an FBI agent who is trying to stop her.  This causes a major problem with the film since it takes away from the main character’s story.  The FBI just really serves to let us know how good this killer is.  There were some drawn out scenes involving her love interest. Even though she is the victim in this film I didn’t make a strong connection or bond to this character.  The action scenes were good though.
