Black Swan (R, Drama) D-

Nina (Natalie Portman) is a ballerina at a prestigious dance company who has just received the main role for an important performance. The pressure soon becomes too much for her to bear as she also faces fierce competition from the other dancers. During too many parts of this movie it’s not clear if things are really happening or if they are just happening in her mind. Most of the movie is just about her learning to dance and going to dance class that makes the plot unfold too slowly. Actually there wasn’t much of a plot in this movie. It’s more about making a statement or showing the hard work ballerinas have to endure and the pressure they face.
