Big Miracle (PG, Drama) B

This film is based on a true story from 1988 in which a family of whales is trapped under the ice in Alaska.  The film follows the local Greenpeace representative (Drew Barrymore) and a local reporter in their effort to free the whales.  This was a great story but it got too caught up in the people’s own problems.  It also felt as if it had to give every single reporter that was there some camera time.  Drew Barrymore’s character seemed too whiny yet it didn’t look like she was that concerned for the whales.
