The Beaver (PG-13,

Walter Black (Mel Gibson) is extremely depressed;
no treatment has helped him overcome his depression. When his wife (Jodie
Foster) kicks him out of the house he comes across a beaver doll. He then
develops a second personality through this doll that allows him to interact
with people and overcome his depression to a certain degree. His wife Meredith
is glad to welcome him with his new personality but she soon begins to tire
of the beaver. Their older son also has his own emotional problems to overcome.
Mel Gibson was excellent in portraying two different personalities that
interact with each other.
