The American (R, Drama, Action, Thriller) D+

George Clooney plays a hit man that goes into hiding in a small town in Italy. He is constantly looking out for some people that want to kill him. Throughout the entire movie I was waiting for something worthwhile to happen. Clooney’s character is a conflicted one, which is what the movie was trying to get across, but it was too boring. Most of the time we just see him building a special rifle and looking nervously over his shoulder. It’s too bad because Clooney and an Italian actor who plays the part of the local priest were great in this film and they had an interesting relationship that is not played up to its full potential.
