General Introduction
This Web Site is set up to provide you with
a quick synopsis for the movie without giving away any spoilers. Unlike
more traditional reviews there won’t be a summary of the movie written
here. Instead some honest insight is given regarding the movie’s weaknesses
and strengths; this is done without giving away any special surprises that
are best seen and enjoyed while watching the actual film.
Grading the Films
As you will note, films are rated by a letter
grading system. Those films that have a B- or lower grade aren’t recommended.
It’s important to note that each film is graded in regard to how well
it pleases its target audience. A kids’ film such as The Incredibles
can have a better grade than an adult film so it doesn’t necessarily
mean that the kids’ film is far better than the adult one. The main
criterion for rating a movie is in regard to how entertaining it is. The
technical aspects of making the film such as acting, lighting and so on
aren’t really considered unless they are so bad that it detracts from
the overall experience.
DVD Section
The DVD section list the current DVD releases
for the week. Only DVD’s for popular movies are listed so be sure
to check out other web sites for the release date of special DVD’s.
The DVD section will include a link to a NoSpoiler review to help you determine
if it’s a movie you would like to see. Keep in mind that movies are
best seen on the big screen; they tend to loose a lot of their effect when
seen at home and not shared with a good crowd in the theatre.
Privacy
This Web Site does not track any personally
identifiable information or place any cookies in your computer. It does
keep track of the number of hits received and the type of browser used.
The Google search box uses the information you enter to supply some related
ads by Google. The index section in the Past Reviews page is an alternative
method to look for an older movie that has been reviewed here.
